Murder Mystery Night

The Maryculter House Hotel on the 27th September 2002 was the venue for a night of murder, mystery and suspense accompanied by a splendid four course dinner, and some great company!

Lord Charmley of Charmley Manor was murdered in his bed, but who did it? Could it have been the charming wife, full of grace and poise, or perhaps 'the Butler did it', maybe it was the
cook or was it the ditsy sister-in-law?? All had motive, all had reason, but only one of them had perpetrated this heinous crime, want to know who done it, well, not telling, you should have been there.!!!

Clues were continuously 'fed' to us during dinner, and we had the opportunity to question each of the suspects on several occasions, but as in all good murder yarns, the more you seem to learn, the further you seem to get from the truth..!! I think as a group, the Jaguar contingent did a pretty good job, and almost cracked the mystery, but for missing one or two essential clues. That said, it by no means detracted from the enjoyment of the evening, and even Inspector Morse would have been reasonably proud of us.

The members and their friends who went along for this night enjoyed themselves immensely, the food was excellent, the actors were outstanding, and afterwards, at the Post Mortem, we all decided that we should most definitely do this again some time, as it was such good fun.

Derek Cruden brought along another bottle of Whisky to raffle in aid of club funds, and this was won on this occasion by John & Kim Clarke.

Anway, want to know 'who done it?', then come along next time and you might just find out.!!
