There was a tremendous JEC Grampian Regional turnout for the Fraserburgh Vintage Car Rally on Sunday, 1st June. We had 11 Jaguar cars on our club stand and had the Gazebo set up with the club regalia where we were visited by many other clubs taking an interest in our set up. We were pleased that the weather was pleasant for a change. Sandy Clark suffered a minor hiccup on the way up when his brake pads seized on his series 1 “E” Type, but glad to say that after a short cool down period he was able to get on his way – [thanks for the warning regarding the police radar trap]. This Fraserburgh rally was a super event and I can report that yours truly picked up the trophy for the “Best Car on a Club Stand” which was gratefully received. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Magne Norman and his wife Torhild for coming along to the event and helping out. Tom Taylor |
