On Saturday, 24th May a total of 7 cars took part in the Whisky (Car) Run which was organised by Chris Farrow, one of our active members. The starting point was at the car park of the Shepherd's Rest Inn, Westhill, Aberdeen and Chris handed out a Tulip style route map to the mystery destination.

Well, everyone taking part managed to find their way on roads that I have never ventured on before. We finally reached our destination just beyond Balmoral Castle at the Royal Lochnagar Distillery. A visit to this Distillery is a timeless experience, where we were able to see distillers tending the traditional mashtun and the gleaming copper stills. The end product, which we all sampled, relies on age-old traditions and craftsmanship to produce one of Scotland's most exclusive whiskies.

This was an excellent day and our appreciation goes to Chris for his time in organising this event for the Club.
