Hi everyone,

Tom asked if I would Give a brief resume of the night out, so here goes. 16 of us eventually turned up to enjoy a night out, 13 took the Dodgem test drive, three declining mainly because of the cramped cockpit and no gear shift, also quite a lot of the track was grid locked.

The Buffet was well presented however the set up was not to most of our expectations. Having been told collect our Salad and then go back for main course, only to be informed at the counter that we could only have one visit to the food counters - One Meal - One Price - One Deal. which gave some the choice of salad, which went terribly limp when the hot food was placed near or on top of it.

One or two of the ladies objected to this and complained to the management, which resulted in all being invited free of charge after our bowling match to watch a Kylie Minogue look-alike perform and six or eight bottles of Red & White wine on the house. We then proceeded to our bowling alleys. Tom split us up fairly equally as it turned out into 4 teams and we had a great session. Mary Farrow won the best lady bowler and Graham Stalker really trounced the rest of the guys, his game seemed to improve with the thought of free wine! The show afterwards was quite good or so it appeared and she did look quite like Ms Minogue and the wine was palatable to some. In all a good Night Out and the organisers can be proud that they achieved this a vote of thanks was given to those involved.

To those who attended - thank you for your support and to other members - maybe you can make the next event.
